Convenient to Kahului Airport and centrally located for touring, Wailuku is the county seat and the center of Maui's business district. For those who'd rather avoid the more touristy areas of this busy island, Wailuku offers a relaxed way of life and a chance to step back into an era reminiscent of the 50s. Antique shops, great budget restaurants, the Bailey House Museum, and even a tofu factory can make this area interesting and fun. Wailuku is also the gateway to beautiful Iao Valley.
