"While not oceanfront, this cottage - one of the island's most comfortable and nicely furnished - is only a one minute walk from a beach access point. Although Puako was a dust bowl for years, these days it's a mecca for Silicon Valley transplants. The proud property owners live in a separate residence, privately tucked behind the cottage, and they anticipate your every need. From a welcome breakfast basket to high-end kitchen appliances, they've done a great job. The place has a very tropical feel, just like a beach house should. Built in the 1940s and immaculately preserved, it's now outfitted with a king-sized bed, very comfy living room, indoor and outdoor showers, a washer-dryer, and a carport; the lanai off the bedroom has a sliver of an ocean view. The open floor plan includes a gourmet kitchen, dining room and living room. The bedroom, bath and service area are separate. The bedroom, which has a king size bed, has French doors that offer views of the ground and ocean beyond. The homeowners live in a separate home on an adjacent 7000 square foot parcel. There is a fully equipped kitchen and an outside gas bar-b-que. Enjoy dining under the stars or in the comfortable dining nook.
