Houses at Malanai.
Hale Ulu Lulu is a fabulous one
bedroom
cottage that is surrounded by Ulu trees, which correlates with it’s
name.
The name means “sheltered by the breadfruit trees.” Built in the
1930’s, this cottage housed the managers of Hana Sugar Plantation and
is
one of the few remaining plantation homes in Hana. Completely restored
in 2005,
the owners of this cottage made sure every detail echoed the history of
this
unique cottage while still providing the modern conveniences of today.
The
open
floor plan of this 900 square foot cottage
ensures that every room enjoys ocean and pastoral view. Throw your
cares away
as you relax amongst the beautiful Mahogany floors, vintage claw foot
tub, fully
equipped kitchen with granite counters and a Koa wood bar counter. The
furnishing are of Missionary and Asian influence with the obvious nod
to Hawaiian
and Polynesian antiques and artwork. Come and escape to Hale Ulu Lulu!
